Yes, we spent our Easter holidays in Denmark, exactly in Blavand, a very touristic place at the Northsea. Well, the place was ok, but far too many tourists. The house was little, cosy and with a chimney. We lit a fire nearly every evening – that was great. We had three bedrooms and one living room with kitchen. The bath was a bit wet, but the garden was great: with lawn to play football and a swing. I read a lot („Gossip Girl“ by Cecily von Ziegesar) and I made a puzzle with 1000 pieces.
We went to the beach very often, since it was very nearby (about 300 meters). We could hear the waves most of the time. We walked through the dunes for hours and collected loads of different kinds of shells (we took home only a few of them).
The highlight was our day visit in „Le/goland“ (Billund). we spent all day there looking at different pieces of LE/GO and went with the many trains, boats etc. Especially, the pirate island fascinated us and we competited as fire men on a fire engine. That was great.
One day later we visited a swimming pool with different water slides. The kids and I enjoyed that, too. Mr Moon was glad when it was over, I suppose. We climbed on top of the nearby lighthouse and we went shopping in Blavand and bought some amber we were not able to find at the beach.
Yesterday we returned home and I am already thinking of when we could go to Denmark again. When we returned, I got the news that I am going on to work at school after the holidays. We all had to cope with the death of one of our guinea pigs. He died of a tumor in his throat, poor pig.
